The Emergency Response Centre (ERC) operates in the whole territory of the Republic of Lithuania, in all public telephone networks.

The ERC receives up to 7 million calls per year. The Centre ensures immediate and appropriate response to emergency requests – the average response time is 4.8 seconds. In 99% of the emergency cases in Lithuania, the location of callers is successfully determined.

1) The concept of development of the 112 emergency telephone number information system was drafted in 2006. The project suggests a secure and safe, functional, reliable and uninterrupted system.
