2010 01 26 Website developed by ERP was nominated for RegioStars awards

EU structural assistance website (www.esparama.lt) developed by ERP on EMC Documentum platform was nominated for the RegioStars 2010 awards in the category “Information and Communication: Websites offering quality information and showing the European added-value”.

EU structural assistance website  was nominated in the category . Site is managed by the Ministry of Finance and 14 other institutions responsible for the administration EU funds. This website is a daily updated main source of information on EU structural assistance to Lithuania.

RegioStars awards are given to the best EU funded projects implemented by applying the best ideas, progressive and innovative approaches. The award is organized by the European Commission.

Tomorrow in Brussels 24 nominated finalists will be presented to RegioStars 2010 awards jury. EU structural assistance website (www.esparama.lt) will compete with other 4 websites in the category.

Why manage risk?

When we started to design a platform for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) we were forced to get a wider knowledge about risk in general, to investigate its nature and understand the risk management problem more deeply. And the first question we faced: why risk should be managed at all? The answer was very simple: every business decision, whether it is right or wrong, is related to risk. Every day in each company a lot of decisions have to be made to drive business forward. Any time you want to use a new opportunity in your business, you face with decisions that are related with risk.
